Albuquerque-based and Native American-owned general management consulting firmKeres Consulting Inc. launched a new business arm this week to support Indian Country enterprises.
NativeVet Materiel LLC will provide facility and medical products and supplies to tribal enterprises and federal agencies that serve Native American communities.
“As a member of the Pueblo of Acoma and a tribal entrepreneur, I understand the importance of sustainability initiatives and hope this venture can fill an unmet need in Indian Country,” Keres President Tim Chavez said in a news release.
According to Keres officials, NativeVet Materiel has formed alliances with suppliers in the facilities and medical industries, including Grainger, a maintenance, repair and operations supplies company with a presence in New Mexico. NativeVet has also reached out to other suppliers including Aesculap, Anixter, GOJO and B. Braun Medical, Keres officials said.
In addition, NativeVet plans on marketing its products to the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bureau of Indian Education and Indian Health Service. The company will also seek out relationships with tribal gaming operations and resorts.
